Working with a Naturopathic Doctor specialized in providing you with the best, research based approaches to treating cancer will help improve your outcome.

What to Expect at the First Visit:

Patients will meet with Dr. Amita Sachdev ND and she will obtain a complete medical health history, conduct a symptom assessment, review blood reports/CT scans/pathology reports/genetic testing and medications.  These reports can be brought in by the patient, or requested by Dr. Sachdev with the patient’s written consent, or faxed to the clinic prior to the visit at 905-893-2423 to the attention of Dr. Amita Sachdev ND. Additional testing medical or naturopathic testing may be recommended. We will discuss the integrative naturopathic approach and available treatments such as lifestyle / dietary modification, herbs / supplements, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, inhalation therapy, mistletoe, and intravenous vitamin C. We will also discuss concerns surrounding popular, yet toxic treatments such as B17 (apricot seeds). (please use B17 or apricot seeds as a keyword search)

The second visit:  This may involve further gathering information, discussing proposed treatment plan, answering questions, and/or initiating treatments such as dietary / lifestyle changes, supplements / herbs, IV treatments, inhalation treatments. Referrals for additional support may be recommended as needed.

Subsequent visits may involve evaluating treatments and assessing patient progress, modifying / adding treatments, administering intravenous treatments, providing council / support, and providing ongoing education to patients and their caregivers.

Potential Testing:
(some tests only available through MD)
– Blood work including inflammatory markings, vitamins, minerals, hormones and blood sugar
– Genetic testing
– Cancer markers (such as CEA, CA 27.29, CA 125, HE4, PSA, PAP, AFP, etc.)
– Chemosensitivity testing
– Urine toxic heavy metals and essential elements
– Food intolerance testing (IgG)
G6PD (to assess candidacy for intravenous vitamin C therapy)
