Rose Essential Oil for Stress Relief

Rose, one of the most beautiful flowers and scents known to man. It is a very full, flowery and powdery scent that for centuries has been admired as the flower to resemble beauty, passion, love and youth in many countries. Today, we use it more for its health-promoting properties, such as a relaxing base for a bath or an antioxidant to relax skin and muscles. Rose also has that silent and unique quality that helps you to feel more comfortable in a way that sometimes you cannot explain. Why is that? Well, like all flowers, rose flowers and their oils have been studied and used for many centuries and by many countries to learn what they can be predominantly used for in life. Today, rose is most commonly known and used for its relaxing abilities, specifically for emotional stresses (due to its high geraniol and citronellol content)
As a Registered Massage Therapist and a Certified Aromatherapist at KIH Clinic, I always have a bottle of Rose Otto essential oil on hand, specifically, to give my clients that option to use during their Hot Stone Massage Therapy treatments and Aromatherapy Massage treatments, I find it works well to help calm their nerves, especially during these stressful times in the world. It really helps to have a comfortable scent around you to help you forget stress, even if for a moment, and this oil is definitely a contender for that. Rose Otto is potent and powerful enough to be used on its own with a carrier oil but it can also be mixed with other essential oils, if preferred, to reach desired effects.
Another way to use Rose Otto is by taking a Rose bath! It’s incredibly health-promoting and it will help you rest at home. Not only that, it will gently tone the skin. Rose baths and facial mists have been used for centuries to refresh and tone the skin.
Note: Rose Otto oil is different from Rose Absolute
