Yes! Naturopathic medicine can be used at any stage of your pregnancy, from prenatal care to natural labour induction to labour and delivery support. Labour and delivery is an especially exciting and overwhelming time for a mom, her partner, and her family. What is a birth doula?

A birth doula is someone who is trained to support a mom during her labour and delivery. She also provides emotional support to the mom’s partner and family members. She is present while the midwife or obstetrician provides clinical care to the laboring mom.

What is a naturopathic birth doula?

A naturopathic birth doula is a licensed naturopathic doctor who has been trained as a birth doula. She can provide both emotional support as well as pain management using naturopathic modalities. These include homeopathic remedies, acupuncture, massage, and hydrotherapy. She is present while the midwife or obstetrician provides clinical care.
